Can not log in to newly created site

  • I am probably missing something simple here, but here is my issue.My Main site is a WP install in the root directory, and my client sites are in sub-directories. I recently installed Better WP Security on my main site (in the root) and today installed an fresh WP install in a sub-directory and when attempting to log in to the new install, or get to wp-admin, I am re-directed to the home page.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    So I think I figured out what happened, for some reason the new install had no .htaccess file written into it, when I added a fresh .htaccsess file all worked well.
    Sois the security plugin in my rootfolder not allowing the new .htaccess file to be written in?
