Can not log in from external editor

  • Hi!

    I can not connect to my WP 2.0.2 installation (https://hannes.helander.net) from any external post editor, such as “Performancing for Firefox” or “Writely” etc.

    I have set up the account details in each as best I understand but still get error messages:

    – Performancing says “Invalid username / password)” although I confirmed it is correct
    – Writely says: “Forbidden”

    In some forums I saw mentioning about the xmlrpc.php file which could be blocked by your web host. does anyonw have any tips, advice or ideas?

    Normal posting through the Admin backend works fine.
