    Hi,

    although this plugin sometimes works very nicely, there is still constantly some errors with images.

    I just fixed two pages with spotlight errors, but my wife’s artist page seems to have a different problem. This time I get this kind of error message when trying to reload images after cache clear in Instagram Feeds -> feeds “The Instagram API responded with an error: Error #190 [OAuthException]: Error validating access token: The session has been invalidated because the user changed their password or Facebook has changed the session for security reasons.”

    And the password is unchanged. Moreover, this problem started as usual, a few days ago some images doesn’t loaded so I cleared the cache, as you have taught. Then I waited a few days and the images were still missing. Then I remembered that the images must be reloaded manually by going to the Feeds tab, and the only thing that loaded was the error message.

    So how can I refresh the access token or what is the problem this time?

    And I hope that you could make this plugin more stable since this is causing by far the most problems with the five pages that I host. At least the clear cache and reload images should be an automatic process because now it takes constant human monitoring to keep the feeds showing images.

    Hi again,

    I managed to find the cause and solution.

    I just reconnected the IG account to the spotlight plugin. However, I still think that these kinds of problems should be handled automatically without users constantly struggling with them. At least before one could consider this plugin to be ready.

    Hi @tamminj3, thanks for confirming the fix.

    The updating of feeds and refreshing of access tokens is done automatically in Spotlight. Unfortunately, when connecting an Instagram Business account, Instagram requires the reconnection of the account to be done manually when the access token expires.

    We currently display a notification about this in your Dashboard a short while before it expires so you’ll have time to see it and reconnect. If this hasn’t ever come up for you, please let me know.

    Going forward, we plan to make that notification more prominent to avoid such situations from happening again.
