After an unsuccessful upgrade for wordpress 5.6, widget does not work and has been disappeared. I try to reinstall it but the installation process can not be completed – the error message is “destination folder allready exist! /…/public_html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/so-widgets-bundle/”. What can i do to solve the problem (i have no administration access on the server that hosts the site).

  • Hi naziridis

Thanks for posting your question. If you aren’t able to access your server via FTP or Hosting File Manager, kindly contact the support department responsible for your hosting management and ask them to delete the so-widgets-bundle folder in /wp-content/plugins/.

Please, find a tutorial on resolving this issue with server access here.
