Can not edit pages

  • Starting with the January update, every time I go to update a published post/page I get an error at 90% saying “Fatal error within the Pagelayer iFrame as pagelayer object not found! Please contact Pagelayer support”

    I am using the PopularFX theme with the immersion template.

    Sorry for inconvenience caused.

    Kindly elaborate the issue, also attach some screenshots of the browser console (open console by pressing F12 in chrome) when the issue occur as well as attach the link of the page which have this error.

    A similar problem occurred to me. When I try to edit the Main Page at 85% I get the message “Fatal error within the Pagelayer iFrame as pagelayer object not found! Please contact Pagelayer support ”I tried to deactivate one by one of my installed plugins. At one point the problem disappeared when I deactivated the plugin ‘ELEX WooCommerce Product Price Custom Text (Before & After Text) and Discount’. To be sure, I tried to turn this plugin on and off several times and it is definitely the cause of that error for me.

    Sorry for inconvenience caused.

    Thanks for giving the name of the plugin which causing the issue. We will check and try to resolve the same.

    This try of error mainly caused due plugins which inserts faulty code or blocking the loading of basic files of pagelayer.

    Any code is inserted externally by the user which is not checked prior. Inserting jquery library externally also causing this issue because wordpress already providing jquery library.
