found this in the old support tickets

Q: When I add products to my cart I am not able to get the cart to update the quantity. If you click on any of the products “Add to cart”, you will see that the cart is not updating.

A: Possibly your server can’t write to the session storage. Ask your host if there is a permission problem writing to the temporary directory ‘/var/php_sessions’.

    but our
Default php session directory is /tmp and php able to create session files under this directory.

    Any other suggestions?

    Hello,

The URL is not working and we are not able to do the testing.

Hi There! I’m having this very same issue. I customer called our store over the weekend. This is what she said what happening. When she added something to her cart, the cart wouldn’t update. You have to actually go to the cart page to see the product that was added. And for some reason, on the cart page, you cannot delete items that have been added. I tried this method on the computer I use to edit the website and everything runs perfectly on my computer….which is probably why I didn’t catch this sooner. I used a different computer in the office and it was having the same issues the lady who called in was having. So I will be watching this forum to see if the issue is gets solved, because I am having the same problem you are. If there is any information I can provide on my end, just let me know.

ozdecor: it seems to be a JavaScript issue. Could you please create a temporary administrator account for us and send the login details to [email protected]? We will need FTP access too.

dickey1: please do the same – provide us with access to your site and FTP server (send a message to [email protected]), we’ll try to fix the problem.

Hi Olaf: The owners of our website are very cautious about who we allow to access the inner workings of our website (we’ve had hackers in the past). And I’m sure you are a trusted individual, but I think I will stand by and wait to see if this issue gets resolved with ozdecor’s site. I will do some research on my end to see if I can solve the issue on my own. If you happen to fix ozdecor’s site, then I’ll talk to the owners to see if they will allow you access to our ftp and wordpress. Also, if this problem gets fixed, can you update this feed with a description of what you did to fix the issue?

ozdecor: Did you send us the login details?

    dickey1: No problem.
