Can not change or remove relationship

Hi Bogdan,

Remove Relationship (and then clicking Save and reload this page) should remove the current relation, if that is not the case, then something is not working correctly.

Can you please try to connect it to an existing post? to do so just create a new post in the remote site and try to connect it, try it and let me know.

Thank you for the reply. I tried already “Remove Relationship” and also to connect to the correct post. But when I hit the save button it jumps back again to the old state.

This problem occurs only on this post, the other posts and translations work fine.

Hi Bogdan,

In that case you can try to delete the relationship manually in <wp_prefix>_multilingual_linked table, you need to find the value of the post id (you can see it in the URL when edit the post), then remove the row in the table that contains this post id value in ml_source_elementid column.

I recommend you to do a database backup before removing the row, just in case something goes wrong and you need to restore the database.

The ID of the post is 138. The problem seemed to be, that there where multiple entries for the same post in the wp_multilingual_linked table:

I deleted them all and afterwards was able to set the correct relationship. Please consider to fix this bug and make the relationship management more reliable.

I asked my customer, he says he accidentally connected the wrong posts and then tried to change relationship, but it didn’t work.
