Can not change general settings – 503 Error

    Hey Guys,

    im starting a new wordpress blog and installed the newest version of wordpress (3.3.2).

    Now i have the problem that i can not change the setting for General and Writing.

    If i try to change it and click on the “save changes” Button i get the following error message:

    Service Temporarily Unavailable

    The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.

    My Hoster is strato.de.

    Is the error realy my hoster? Because i also have blogs with wordpress 3.2.1 and 3.3.1 and there is no problem. Also here is the hoster Strato.de. has anyone of you a idea how i can fix this problem or what the reason could be?

    Hope that someone has a fast answer for me.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

    Hey thanks for you question, if found out that reason is stratos security service. So i deactivated that one and it works ??
