Can not add links or media to event posts

    Whenever I try to highlight some text for an event and create a link, I can access the link popup box, but as soon as I press the ‘create link’ button, WordPress takes me to the ‘add new post’ page, nor the Events listing page and I lose anything I have just entered for the Event. In addition, if I select the ‘add media’ button in events manager, nothing happens. I can add links and media on regular blog posts.
    Any help would be much appreciated. This is something that was work fine and so has only started happening recently.
    I have disabled all the plugins and this has not helped. We are using the Pro version.

  • Hey Jim,

    This sounds very much like a jQuery conflict. Does it still happen if you switch to the default WordPress theme and deactivate all other plugins?

    I changes the theme to the standard Twenty Eleven theme and it was still the same unfortunately.

    Which versions of Events Manager, EM Pro and WordPress are you using?

    Have you tried using a different browser as a test?

    Yes, I have tried Chrome and IE.

    I am running WordPress 3.4.2
    Events Manager 5.0.51
    EM Pro 1.51

    hmm, you might need the latest EM versions for this since this works for me.

    The versions I have worked perfectly for me also unlit a little while ago. Is this a problem that was fixed in a later version? Are you sure that an upgrade will resolve it?

    That’s impossible to say but those are very old versions of all three and it’s possible the old coding is causing a problem.

    If you’re reluctant to upgrade, you might want to upgrade WordPress first and see if that fixes the problem before thinking about upgrading the plugins.
