I have the Nextscripts API instead of the Facebook native API on one of my websites and that is the only website that is still working. Really not keen on paying $50 per year for all my websites just to post to Facebook. ugh!!! ??

I’m creating a new Facebook app to try and restore autoposting ability to our FB page. We had an old app that worked fine for years and I never submitted it for review because there were other roadblocks in place, and at some point it stopped working. Our business hadn’t been verified with a business management account on FB either. But now I’m doing that and I’m going through each process it tells me to. This is much more complicated! I just uploaded a bunch of company documents showing our address and phone number and now our business verification is in-progress.

I see the instructions on Nextscripts page are ok, but they don’t match what I see when it comes to doing the app review on FB. There is no single button to start app review like the screenshot. Now there are 3 specific pages under App Review – Requests, My Permissions and Features, and Permissions and Features. I see a long list of permissions and I have to choose which are needed by the app. manage_pages and publish_pages are not there at all. I read FB has replaced those 2 permissions with 6 new ones. I made a guess, but I’m not sure. Once business verification is complete, I will give that a try. But I would like to know which permissions I need to choose for the app.
