• Hi – hope this isn’t too confusing.

Company I work for has their site on WP. I can easily login and make edits, etc. They also have a mirror or duplicate sandbox site. It’s a completely different URL than company one. I’m trying to get into it.

I was first given a login. After that worked, I was then supposed to use same login creds as the company site. It worked and the WP dashboard, etc., was there for me to use.

After logging off and closing browser, several hours late needed to get back on to sandbox. When I loaded the URL [it ends with wp-admin/] it asked me for the first set of creds like before. But instead of the second login coming on, it goes to the about page and there is no WP dashboard, etc.

I cleared the cache and it still doesn’t work.

The company used to have a third-party company doing WP related stuff but they’re gone now and it’s up to me to fix this so I can get into the sandbox site.

Does this sound familiar at all and can anyone tell me how to fix it? Thanks.

  • Hey, garrityalf, if you have FTP access to the sandbox site, I would recommend deactivating all plugins/switching the theme via FTP to see if that allows you access again.

OK thank you for this tip and I’ll try it.
