Can no longer edit widgets or header

    Ever since I updated the Genesis theme, I can no longer access or edit any widget, header, or profile picture. I backed up the previous version and reinstalled it and still does not work. I really need to suggestions on how to fix – it is affecting traffic and appearance on the blog.

  • – contact your theme supplier to ask if an update is available for Decor
    – deactivate plugins to be able to rule out a plugin conflict
    – put this line in wp-config.php:

    define('WP_DEBUG', true);

    and see if any errors show. They may give a clue.
    – look for any files called error_log in WordPress root or wp-admin, these are plain text files which again may give clues.
    – try a default theme with plugins deactivated, if the problem resolves it would identify the problem as a theme problem.
