• Hello! I recently updated one of my client’s sites, https://www.hobbsauto1.com to WordPress 3.4.2

Unfortunately now that I have updated, when i try to log in via hobbsauto1.com/wp-admin as I always have to make updates, I get a 404 error. Further, the site no longer works on mobile applications (iPad, iPhone, etc)

What can I do in order to be able to access the admin panel again? I have emptied my cache and that has done nothing.

I preformed the update through GoDaddy, where my sites are hosted.

  • Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.

    – running the upgrade manually via wp-admin/upgrade.php

Hello! I did as suggested, and i can now login again and have my admin panel; however, all of my work on the template is gone!!!! There is no content that I added and the template looks just as it did the day I purchased it. Im on the verge of tears as Im afraid I’m now going to have to start over from scratch. I logged into GoDaddy and my old mySql database was not there, so I’m afraid everything is gone. Any ideas on how to fix it without redoing the entire site??
