    Hi,
My hosting account does not allow me to mail newsletters directly from the server. Can I use this plugin to collect/manage emails, and to create newsletters, but to mail them from a different place? In such a scenario, how would the UNSUBSCRIBE link work?

Hi, use an SMTP server (there are many providers which offer the email delivery via SMTP – sendgrid, amazon ses, mailjet, mailgun, sendinblue, …). The cancellation is always processed by your site.

    Stefano.

Almost nobody uses their hosting service to send newsletters. They’re not set up for such transactions. Use Send Grid, MailGun or a similar service.

For example, add the MailGun plugin to wordpress, establish a MailGun account for free with 10,000 free emails each month and let them do the newsletter mailings for you automatically when you hit send from the Newsletter.

The plugin will also use MailGun service to send notices and other messages out from wordpress when the MailGun plugin is installed.

Hey, thanks very much for your reply. How does MailGun relate to the Newsletter plugin, though? I thought Newsletter does the sending out of emails via a third party SMTP, such as Amazon SES? Or am I not understanding correctly?
