I am looking into seeing if Migrator will provide what I need. In this case, I have two websites, A and B. Website A has a main page design and layout that I want to copy to website B.

Website A has a lot of other pages and details that I don’t need. I only need the website structure (main page design and how that applies to the other pages). I don’t want the user database or book manager database that website A uses.

Looking at another option: Could I use the clone service to clone website A to a testing site, remove all of the unneeded parts, then migrate THAT version to website B?

How does this affect users set up on the two websites? Can I keep the users assigned to website B and not have the website A users cloned over?

    Hi,

UpdraftPlus can only migrate the entire website and cannot just select a part of the website to restore. Your best option would be to migrate it on a staging/dev site and remove the ones you don’t need. Just note that everything will be replaced including the website users.

    Thanks,

Thanks, Bryle. I was looking into that possibility with the “Updraft Clone” service. I’m waiting to hear back on whether I can work on the website in the clone space, then move it to the new website location, or if it can only be moved back to the original location. Do you know?

You can work on the website in the clone. You can migrate the clone back using this guide: https://updraftplus.com/faqs/how-do-i-migrate-to-a-new-site-location/
