Can Media File Renamer Pro Move WebP Files?

    Dear Media File Renamer Support,

    I am writing to inquire about the ability of the Media File Renamer Free or Pro Plugin File Handler API to move WebP files when renaming files with the Media File Renamer plugin.

    I am currently using the Media File Renamer plugin to rename my media library files. The plugin works fine with renaming regular images, but unfortunately, it does not move WebP files along with them when I use my third-party plugin to move the files. This is causing a mess on the filesystem.

    I understand that the Pro version of Media File Renamer has a “move” feature. Can you confirm that this feature will allow me to move WebP files when renaming files with the Media File Renamer plugin and using my third-party plugin to move the files?

    Hi @niwo,

    Indeed, moving WebP and AVIF was not handled properly. I fixed that, and it will be release in version 5.6.7, coming sometimes today ?? Sorry for the delay, but it’s done!
