We have some members in our organization who share a single email address, is it possible to add the same email address twice in the MailPoet subscriber list?

The simple answer would be to enter both of their names in the first name field, but we would like to have them be part of separate lists. This becomes confusing since they may not know which one is receiving the email.

When I add a new subscriber with the same email address, it replaces the existing one without any warning, which is also very scary.

    Thanks,
    –Tom

    Hi @tcbeaton,

No, this is not possible to do. Each subscriber needs to have a unique email address associated with their ID.

May I ask you why people are sharing the same email address? As a marketing email plugin, we do not recommend this. When you’re sending emails, you need to have your subscriber’s consent and think of sending targeted emails according to your audience. If you have two people sharing the same email address, it would be difficult for them to unsubscribe from the newsletter, for example. They need to be able to make decisions individually as different subscribers, so I suggest creating different email addresses for them.
