Can Login to wordpress dashboard

Ok I cant access my wordpress dashboard. when I try to login with my username and password it says user doesn’t exist or invalid email. I have tried going into the php database and i see my user account there and my email address. Even if i try using the lost password feature it still says user doesn’t exist, I am confused because i see the account in the php database, any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
