I would like to not require users to have WP accounts just to get the job alerts. It doesn’t make much sense.
I’d rather have them type an email with their job search data, then get the emails. Why is user/pass needed?

From within the alert email, there could be a link which lets them remove the alert or unsub from all that might be connected to their email, etc.

I just don’t want to require user registrations for a feature like this, it doesn’t make sense. People will forget they even have this user, forget their password every time it’s needed, and if they have no alerts, then they have a useless user account for no reason.

Is this possible or is it a feature in an upcoming release?

Official word is that they do not support that feature. It doesn’t sound like they intend to either.
They require full user accounts in order to have “log in” ability to save the alert data.

It’s a shame, as this would make so much more sense.
