Can it bulk convert woocommerce local attributes to global attributes?

    Hi,

    Can this plugin bulk convert woocommerce local attributes to global attributes?
    So basically, I use printful to import products from printful dashboard to woocommerce store.

    However, all the products the come, all the attributes are local. So, no filter plugin picks them up. At the moment, I am having to do it manually, download CSV product file and change the “attribute global” value to 1 for each product for woocommerce to see it as global varibale. However, i have to do it everytime I add new products etc.

    So, my question is that, can this plugin, bulk edit the attributes. Like, edit the local attributes and mark them as global attribute?

    Hi

    Yes, our plugin will let you convert the local attributes to global. You need our premium version for this. The process is simple: You open our spreadsheet editor inside WordPress and just copy the values from the local attribute column into the global attribute column for all products at once.

    However, every time printful adds new products, they will appear again as local attributes… so you need to do it again and again.

    Our plugin will let you do it faster but you still need to do it every time.

    I have an additional query:

    Do you mean everytime I add a new product, will it change the attribute to local for older products as well? I understand everytime I sync a printful product, I will have to change it again. However, do you mean by that statement, everytime a sync a product, it will override all attribute to local even for older products?

    I don’t know how printful works. If it will update old products regularly or only add new products.

    I just know that if you edit using the regular editor or using our plugin, and printful updates the old product, the changes might be overwritten.

    If printful only adds new products and doesn’t touch the old products, your changes will remain and you’ll just need to edit the new products using our plugin.

    Hi there,

    I have been playing with your premium plugin in your demo site.
    However, I cant seem to locate the “attribute global” field. Can you please show me where is it? I just want to be sure before buying.
    because normally when I import products CSV file, it has value of different fields, “attribute 1 global” “attribute 2 global” etc and I change its value to 1 to make it global.

    Can you show me where is it?

    Hi

    You need to create the global attribute first in wp-admin > products > attributes and one product must be using the local attribute. Here’s an example showing the local attribute column and global column next to each other.

    You can edit in the cells or using the “bulk edit” option in the toolbar to copy from one column to another on thousands of products at once.

    Keep in mind that the demo shows columns based on the existing demo products…
