WordFence is 403 Forbidding the ManyChat tracking script when we try to insert it in the header of our site. Is it safe to whitelist it or should we hold off?

    <!– ManyChat –>
    <script src=”//widget.manychat.com/1744044192402965.js” async=”async”></script>

  • Hi @katymorikawa,

Wordfence is blocking <script> tags in general, not specifically the ManyChat tracking script.

If you know that widget is safe, you can choose to whitelist it by following these steps:

    1. Go to Wordfence -> Firewwall -> Manage WAF
    2. Choose Learning Mode for Web Application Firewall Status
    3. Try inserting the <script> tag again
    4. Go back and chose Enabled for the firewall again

Alternatively, you can tell me what plugin you are using to insert code into the header, and I’ll provide you with a way to whitelist that plugin.

Okay, thanks, I can do that. I was also looking to see if there was anything in the knowledge base about ManyChat’s tracking code (since I’m not sure if it’s safe, I don’t know very much about it, but my client wants to use it). Thanks,
