• Hello. I am new and a begginer.

My hosting company gives me unlimted stoarge and bandwidth.

So I can I store the podcast on my hosting company and just use the powerpress?

Or do I have to buy Bluebrry hosting?

I think I’ll have to go with option two.

By the way if I have about 50 total listeners do you think I can store the files on my Bluehost shared hosting or what do you recommend

If you release one episode a week to an audience of 50, the downloads should be spaced well apart that your site will not notice. In a shared hosting environment though it only takes 5-10 concurrent downloads to choke the bandwidth available to the website.

Do you have specifics about the hosting plan you currently have? How much bandwidth to they guarantee you? 1Mbps, 10Mbps, 100Mbps, 1Gbps?

By the way. Does Blubrry give us our own webpage like Podbean does?

and can we store stuff like pdf’s and images etc?

    how much?

Blubrry media hosting can syndicate audio, video, and PDF files. All media hosting customers can set up either a free Podcaster Homepage, which is similar to Podbean’s offering, or a free PowerPress Site, which is a WordPress site hosted by Blubrry. Pricing information here:

So we have to pay over 200 dollars a year to store one 3 page pdf document that is only 3 mb

    Hello Joe,

No, you do not have to sign up for Blubrry services. You can use a competitor of ours and still use our plugin. The plugin itself is free and open source, you can use it without using our services.

    My friend.

I think you dodged the question. FIRST OF ALL I DON’T WANT ANYTHING FOR FREE.

I CANNOT PAY MY RENT AND EMPLOYEES IF I GAVE AWAY FREE SERVICES.

BUT. WHEN I PAY, AND I REPEAT, WHEN I PAY YOU 240 DOLLARS A YEAR FOR

    https://secure.blubrry.com/checkout/service-4/

ARE YOU SAYING THAT I CANNOT STORE ONE PDF DOCUMENT FOR 240 A YEAR?

    Plugin Author Angelo Mandato

    (@amandato)

You can store over 100 3MB pdf’s each month. Over the course of 1 year, that would be 1,200 3MB PDFs!

In all practical terms, you do not need a podcast hosting service to host files of this size or format. You can podcast PDFs no problem, they are not a popular podcast format. Apple is trying to push epub as a better format for podcasting but that is also not very popular.

Either you are dodging a question or not understanding me. Let me give you a 1 2 3

    1) when one visits https://create.blubrry.com/resources/podcast-media-hosting/

    2) YOU will notice that you offer “FREE WORDPRESS WEBSITE”

    3) DO we pay more for that site, because we will be adding images and pdf’s etc.

    Looks like you are a 1 2 3 personality

Sorry. I will try my best to answer your questions.

The Free WordPress Site you get with any paid Blubrry podcast hosting account allows you to upload images and PDFs for use in that site’s blog posts and pages.

Are you wanting to upload PDFs to your website to link to on a post or page or are you looking to syndicate the PDF’s as a podcast to iTunes?

    Thread Starter Johnny Zakhara

    (@jzkits)

    WELL. YOU ARE GETTING CLOSE

    IT IS CALLED STORAGE

    IT IS THAT SIMPLE

    LETS THE 1 2 3 AGAIN

    1) YOU OFFER US A WEBSITE

    2) WE HAVE 15 COOL PDFS, ALL SEPARTE.

    3) CAN WE STORE THEM ON OUR FREE WEBSITE

    OR HOW ABOUT THIS

CAN WE STORE OUR FAVOTIRE RECIPES?

THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ITUNES

    Thread Starter Johnny Zakhara

    (@jzkits)

After you answer that question, I have another prsale question

Can we see an EXAMPLE of a customer who uses your free website serviCE and has a regular podcast?

    Plugin Author Angelo Mandato

    (@amandato)

You can upload images and pdf’s to your website for use in your blog posts and pages.

You can store “15 COOL PDFS, ALL SEPARTE” on the website.

You can “STORE OUR FAVOTIRE RECIPES” on the website.

Our lead support tech uses the service, here is a link: https://www.traversecitypodcast.com/
