    Hello there!

We have used your plugin for a long time for everything related to Facebook. Now we’re decided to use another plugin to do the “Product Sync”. We haven’t disabled your plugin, we have just disabled the “Product Sync” option.

After doing this, we noticed that the pixel events weren’t working properly.

So, my question is: Is is possible to use your plugin just for the pixel while the products syncing is done by another one?

    Thank you!

  • Hi @eripanci,

    That’s a good question.

The product sync and Facebook pixel don’t have any relationship so you should be able to use the plugin solely for pixel. I took a look at your site using the Facebook pixel helper extension and the pixel is firing correctly.

Moving forward, I wouldn’t recommend using the plugin solely to integrate a pixel. The key feature the plugin offers is the product sync and if you’re not using that, it’ll make sense to integrate your pixel directly or through a plugin designed solely for pixels.

    Hi @sukafia!

Thank you for your fast reply.

I took a look at your site using the Facebook pixel helper extension and the pixel is firing correctly.

It does work because we enabled again product sync from your plugin in order not to lose any reporting. Before it, we also use Facebook pixel helper extension and the reporting didn’t work as expected. Also, we noticed reporting errors the day we disabled this service from the plugin, so we can say that this caused it.

Maybe you can check on your own why it doesn’t work when doing this, although I know that this is not your plugin’s purpose like you’ve mentioned.

    Thanks again!

    Hi @eripanci,

I’m not sure why the Facebook Pixel doesn’t track events since it’s a separate instance as confirmed earlier. You can deactivate all plugins and leave only WooCommerce core and Facebook for WooCommerce enabled. Then switch to the Storefront theme and check the tracking again.

If your intention is not to use the Facebook for WooCommerce plugin you can manually install the pixel code in the header section of your website so that you will free up resources after disabling Facebook for WooCommerce.

Here you will find a tutorial on how to manually add the pixel code to your website and best pratices for the setup.

    Best regards.
