    Hi,

I have Removed/Disabled “jQuery” in order to eliminate the two extra http-requests made by “jquery” and “jquery-migrate” with the help of the performance optimization plugin “Perfmatters”.

    Now my questions?are:

1 – ? Will there be any issues if I use “Editor Plus” with jQuery Disabled ?

2 – ? Can you let me know what features of “Editor Plus” are relying on?jQuery?

Additionally?to my questions, I have two Suggestions for the developer in order to improve the “Editor Plus” Performance and be better prepared for the Google “Core Web Vitals”:

a)- Replace the “eplus-icon.ttf” icons font file with “SVG” icons for better performance and have 1 Less http-request.

b)- Remove the “jQuery” dependency and replace it if needed with vanilla?javascript. Or better Yet, Don’t use javascript at all, and use CSS for everything.

Thank You in advance for your help ??

  • Hi,

Currently EP loads and uses jQuery with some custom blocks and maybe some other functionality as well. I’ve passed this suggestion to the development team and we will try to optimize it in future releases.

About the features you’ve suggested, I’ve added them to our wishlist so that the team can check them.
