Can I use a variable in my links if I have multiple sites?

    I currently have 2 production wordpress sites. I also have 2 test/sandbox sites to try out new things on. in the future I may need to further duplicate those sites. My issue is that when I create the copy of the prod site for testing all the links are hard coded to the prod pages. I would like to change that so that the domain is a variable/generic.

    Example:
    Production Site
    prod01.com/page1.htm has a link called page2 which goes to prod01.com/page2.htm

    Test Site
    prodtest01.com/page1.htm has a link called page2 which by default goes to prod01.com/page2.htm

    I am a new WordPress admin so I am learning as I go. Thanks for any help/ideas
