    Hello,

I’m currently having some storage problems on my website due to the huge amount of media that is uploaded. In fact, I have over 30,000 photos in my media library, which means I need to do some cleanup.

Since I use Elementor, I intend to buy the Pro version of Media Cleaner.
Indeed, I noticed that the free version of Media Cleaner detects a lot of “false positives” when I run the scan (almost 70% of my files).
Although this is probably normal, I’m afraid I’ll encounter the same difficulties with the pro version.

I have read a lot about this plugin and I know that I have to make a backup before anything else in case it breaks my site.
But I also know that I won’t be able to manually check if my unused photos are really unused.

Is this plugin reliable enough to scan and clean up 30,000+ images on Elementor?

To be honest, this is my last hope.
However I would be disappointed to buy a product that doesn’t work and forces me to restore my site.

Thanking you in advance for the development work you have already provided, a working plugin would be a life saver !

    Very cordially,

    Lucas

    Hi @lucasgrtourisme,

    We both French ??

Although this is probably normal, I’m afraid I’ll encounter the same difficulties with the pro version.

Do you have warnings in the Free version? Telling you that certain plugins detected on your install are only supported in the Pro version? If yes, that means that all the related images will be properly detected in the Pro, and are not in the Free.

Since I use Elementor, I intend to buy the Pro version of Media Cleaner.

I added support for Elementor in the Pro, but you got a warning, right?

Is this plugin reliable enough to scan and clean up 30,000+ images on Elementor?

Normally, yes, but we never can say 200% sure. WordPress is complex, and there are many other plugins you might be using, or maybe you are using Elementor in a way I never suspected. So backup is necessary, always. But it should work ?? If it doesn’t, we can look at it together.

However I would be disappointed to buy a product that doesn’t work and forces me to restore my site.

The refund policy is to never ever refuse a refund. Your only worry here would be to have to restore your site. Besides that, don’t worry ??

    Cheers, Lucas!

    Hello @tigroumeow,

Thank you for your quick answer.
I did see that we were both French but I wanted to make this topic understandable for everyone.

I did receive alerts that I was using certain plugins supported by the pro version so I will try the Media Cleaner Pro version.
If anything undesirable happens, I will not hesitate to come back to you.

I hope everything is going well in Japan, greetings from Paris! ??
