Can I set each image to expire?

Is there any way I can set each specific image in a slider to be scheduled for publish and expire at a certain date & time? I know that you can expire the entire slider but I am using this for my Home Page and would like to be able to schedule and expire EACH image. I never want to expire the entire slider.
Can anyone tell me how to make this happen?
