• I recently experienced a problem after installing the plugin push it with my wordpress blog Jkava.net and was advised by my host godaddy.com to backup my files to mysql and uninstall and then reinstall wordpress. i somehow deleted my backup so i instead tried to retrieve my content using godaddy’s history feature. when i try go to my site i now see this:

The website cannot display the page
    HTTP 500
    Most likely causes:
    ?The website is under maintenance.
?The website has a programming error.

    What you can try:
    Refresh the page.

Go back to the previous page.

    More information

This error (HTTP 500 Internal Server Error) means that the website you are visiting had a server problem which prevented the webpage from displaying.

For more information about HTTP errors, see Help.

Is all lost or is it just under construction and will eventually load? by the way I have 2.8.1 not 2.8

Hmmmm… looks like no one wants to be the one to break the bad news, oh well.

deleting your database was a very hasty move.

If I remember correctly, the history thing that godaddy does, is just for files. so using that, while nifty, isnt going to put back a deleted database.

Lesson 1: back up your files AND your database.

    Lesson 2: dont be hasty.

    Laslty,

expecting a reply within 50 mins is also hasty. Look around the forum — while you may feel like the only person on the planet, youre not. Threads are answered when theyre answered, its that simple.

Lots of lessons learned….the hard way.
