can i reset my css file?

  • I was trying to modify my css file and it screwed up the layout real bad. Is there a way to undo my changes/ Can I just upload a file again to the server to overwright it?

  • Yes, that’s the only way.
    I never edit files with the online editor – exactly for this reason.
    Keep a backup copy on your computer and edit the files in a plain text editor. Upload the modified version. If it’s screwed up – just upload the backup copy ??

    thanks for that moshu, could you tell me exactly which file I need to upload? is it in wp includes>js>themes>advanced>ccs ?
    I tried this file and it seems to be the same?

    OK, so which file were you editing?
    My assumption was you tried to modifiy the theme’s css file, which should be in wp-content/themes/yourtheme-name/style.css

    sorry, it was the style sheet and sidebar within the ccs themes editor

    was it ok to re-upload the whole themes folder to replace the old one?
