Can I remove primary site (or move it to subfolder?)

I have 2 sites for the 2 languages I’m using setup to run from subfolders. sitename.com/en and sitename.com/fr

But I can’t seem to get rid of the extra site I don’t need that shows at just sitename.com

Is there a way to move to to a subfolder or just disable it? Not sure what the best practice is and all the solutions I read involved messing with the .htaccess and adding a redirect.
