    change header.php in your theme folder

    There already is an option for adding a menu at the top of your site.
    You could add some CSS to reposition that if necessary, as well as some CSS to hide the logo.
    Appearance -> Theme Option -> CSS

    That way, when updating the theme, any changes made to header.php will not be overwritten.
    Also, when making changes theme files, it is recommended you use a child theme.
