Can I reinstall WordPress to fix some bad damage from plugins?

  • Hello all,

    I have this problem probably caused by plugins. The problem is that all the posts are displaying excerpts automatically, and irresponding to any setting I made. The excerpts is always NOT paired up with a thumbnail no matter what I tried. The problem persist no matter what theme I choose.

    therefore, I came to believe that it must be two thumbnail plugins that must have changed some the HTML code somewhere in WordPress. I have no idea how to fix it. Does anyone can give me a hand?

    Do you think it is necessary to uninstall WordPress and then reinstall it? If so, how can I do that?

    Oh sorry I need to add that I have deleted the two thumbnail plugins I previously installed, but the problem is still there. I guess they have permanently alter some fundamental codes.
