Can I put a picture in the sidebar?

  • Hello,

    I’m new at this, please bear with me.

    I’d like to put a picture on the sidebar with a link to my main page but I couldn’t find a way to do it in the Dashboard.

    For your reference, the site is https://www.GetOutOfDebt101.com/blog

    Is there a way to do this?

  • If your theme is widget-ready you can go to ‘Presentation > Widgets’ in your admin panel and add your code as a widget.

    Or you can insert it into the sidebar file of your theme. Just open up the sidebar file (sidebar.php or similar) and paste the code. If the styling isn’t right go back and make sure your new code is surrounded by the same code tags as the other sidebar items. The best way to learn is to dig in. You can always undo if you don’t like it.

    If your sidebar file is writable you can do this from in the admin panel under ‘Manage > Files’. In this case it’s a good idea to copy and save the code somewhere before changing things, as there is no ‘undo’ this way.
