Can I modify messages

  • We have the plugin setup for people to upload images and information about their ceramic art entries to our juried art shows so we can do the judging/selection. There is a message that displays “Currently stored on the server for [name]:” where they come back into the entry after initially uploading their images. Is there any way I can go in and change the wording of that message? There are some other messages it would be helpful to change, as well, but I can’t find them in the code. Please advise. This is a very helpful plugin for the New Mexico Potters and Clay Artists for our upcoming shows. The pages are under development so I can’t send you any links. The site is: celebrationofclay.com.

    It’s good to know that camera clubs are not the only groups making use of the plugin!

    Since version 1.2.20, you can change some of the messages ( including “Currently stored on the server for” ) in the EntryWizard Settings page — in the admin area under EntryWizard.

    This would be wonderful. The version that I have installed and latest version in wordpress plugin repository is 1.0.13. How can I get the later version you describe?

    I see another plugin in the repository, Entry Wizard, but it’s version is 1.3.5. I didn’t find it before and didn’t install it…do I need to? The ewz-rating plugin seems to have an entry wizard.

    EntryWizard is the plugin I am talking about. And it’s current version is 1.3.1.

    Since the message you refer to is part of EntryWizard, not Ewz-Rating, I missed the fact that this was posted under Ewz-Rating – sorry.

    You must have installed EntryWizard at some point if uploads are working. Check your Plugins page for the version — if it is too old, you will get problems with Ewz-Rating.

    Ewz-Rating is an add-on plugin for EntryWizard, used for judging of the uploaded images, and it requires EntryWizard in order to work. It does NOT install EntryWizard automatically — you need to install both plugins separately, and keep both up-to-date.

    The current version of Ewz-Rating is 1.0.13. (I hope to get new versions of both plugins out by the end of the year).

    If you are not seeing the Settings page, you must somehow have got a really old version of EntryWizard, and not updated it.
