Can I make the description field “editable”?

I just installed the Paypal “buy now” button on my company’s website. When I click the “paypal button” in the dashboard to insert it and I enter the description, the description is then fixed when someone clicks it on our website. Does that make sense? Is there a way to make the “description” field editable so folks can specify what program they are paying for? Thanks!
