Can i logout from WP while making a backup ?

    Hello,

    i launched a manual backup which is taking a long time due the limited ressources on my host’s server.

    1) Can i log out of WP and close my computer? Will the backup process continue its work even when i’m logged out ?

    2) If i can’t logout, can i do other things on my site during the backup ?

    Hi,

    Yes, you can logout. UpdraftPlus will continue running or create automatic backups.

    That’s very nice. Thank you for your answer.
    And can i do other things in WP while having the backup ?
    I mean, can i leave the UpdraftPlus page and go write a post for example ?

    Hi,

    You can, though of course you won’t really know if the backup contents pre-date or post-date any changes you make, in case that matters.
