• I have an eCommerce site that want to dump. It has lots of stuff in it that will not be including in my new site (not eCommerce). I know it’s not very elegant, but can I just delete the current site; install WordPress afresh and just start again? If so what is the safest/best way to do do the deletion? Will the database just reset with the new WordPress install or must I reset it myself? What are the most likely glitches I might face?

If you installed using a Softiculuos script from your hosting control panel, you should be able to do a clean delete from there too. Deletes everything – files, directories, database, database user. Good start-over point. Re. glitches – make sure you really want to delete everything. No going back as far as I know.

Thank you very much. I will save any text etc and then it will go.

My question is very similar. We made some fundamental errors moving pages around after installing our WordPress Theme and haven’t loaded up content yet.

I can’t find any information on the Softiculous script in the Control Panel. Can we uninstall the Theme through the Installatron page and then reinstall the Theme? We’ve also installed the WordPress re-set plug in.

I downloaded the zip from the company where we bought the Theme and we’re ready to go. We’re not really confident using FTP and prefer to install the Theme via WordPress.

I apologise if you receive this Post twice. I think my partner had already asked via a different support page.

blackers: please start a new topic for your issue rather than jumping on an old one.

Thank you for this Sterndata. The WordPress support pages are full of information and so sorry I wasted your time.

I installed the WordPress Re-set plug in and this has taken the Theme back to where we wanted.
