Can I import news articles that I was using on another website?

  • We currently have a custom made News website, but we are having issues all the time regarding saving/editing articles, permissions, etc. So we have decided to create a new version of the website using WordPress, but we don’t want to lose all our past news articles. Our current database uses MongoDB and we are aware we need to export all that using Json files in order to import them to WordPress mySQL database. But we are not sure if this theme allows us to import news articles, if so do you have any recommendations on how to do it or if you could please let us know what would be the structure of the database that will contain the news.     Thanks for considering Mission News for your website!

    Your articles will be imported into WordPress as “Posts” and this will work fine with Mission News or any other theme you choose. I’m afraid, I don’t know a whole lot about this specific migration process, but if the content is showing properly in the WP dashboard then it will work well with the theme.
