• Ive spend all night last night and all morning and I cant get it right.
I’d rather just hire someone to do it for me.

My theme is simple but the side bar is on the left and it uses 100% of the width, as well as some other minor things.

if theres a designer out there who wants a short job Id love to hire you.

I refuse to work on this anymore, im so stressed now

  • If you go here and look for my Maximus template. It comes in a multitude of styles, is free to download and easy to fit. It is full width, with faux columns and guaranteed bork free for a futz free install. What more could a guy want ?

I’ll do it for free if the template that you want is just the one that you linked to, and if I could do it in my own convenience. I could get it done by next week, though, for sure.

    Root, thanks.
Im trying to find one that has no picture in it and has the menu on the left, and no design in the page.

I just love a clean layout without background wallpaper and colors

marc100 I’m not expecting you to count the number, but here’s a pretty good resource for themes:

    https://wrc.os42.com/?page_id=151

Aside from a tonne of other information, the site is continually updated. It basically links you direct to the author of theme, ensuring you’re not getting an old release.

There’s a lot of other things you may want to take a look at there too.

As Root says, you can take a look at his templates, and they’re very easy to get to grips with – I’m not expert on CSS but I like his work.

Hope that helps and good luck

Also if you find a theme you like and as you say you want with no pictures, I think you’ll find many here can help you in removing anything you find clutter to make it a cleaner theme. So if you find one you like but it has a lot of images, just ask for assistance on that theme and it can be dealt with.

Well if you pick the simplest and get it fitted it is easy to swap colors out and so on. Moving the menu left is easy. Guys will help out. Ignore the color. Think shapes and stability. Color is easy.

Hi alphaoide, sure you can do anything you want, its your time : )
If you do it id love to download it and use it if I may.

btw I think this layout would be a popular one.
I remember another template that was red and white and it used up 100% of the width of the page and it got a lot of positive comments becaue of it.

of course, I downloaded it and got all these php include errors and couldn’t use it, natch. lol

Also, Marc, why don’t you go here:

    https://testbeds.webjones.org/wp15

And check out my Zen Minimalist theme. It’s imageless so it should be along the lines of what you are looking for. You can download the zip file, then upload it to your server (send me an email and I can walk you through it). I know you’re tired of fiddling with your site, so Moose’s suggestion, to just walk away from the computer for awhile, is a good one.

I get that way at work if I have to edit the same damn document a trillion jillion times. I just walk down to the coffee pot and get myself some wonderful coffee laced liberally with Hazelnut coffee creamer, hang out in the waiting room for a minute with a magazine, and then go back to it. It makes all the difference in the world. Well, that and slitting the boss’s throat! ha ha!

    Joni Mueller ;->

And if you add the Maximus CSS (layout section only) youll get full width in one jump. Nothing fancy.

“slitting the boss’s throat”…. yup. Though “virtual slitting” is advisable….

Really, a break is the thing to do whenever stuff gets to the point where your knickers are in a twist and you are wanting to make a new window in the wall by pitching your monitor through it. While the “techno-revolution” seems to promise cloud 9 and halos, it really only does that for a couple of TRUE nerds I know (yeah, claus, that’s you bro!). The rest of us have to slog along and hope we don’t ***k it up to the point of no return before the guy with the answers gets back to us.

Hang with us, don’t despair, we’ll do our best to get you going….

And I want the side bar on the left.
I tried the White as milk layout but I get the same problems.

    thanks for the suggestion though
