• Hey guys,
I know that I can rename wp-content and admin and stuff like that but I was wondering if there’s any way I can hide the fact the I am running WordPress from my source code.
Even if I change wp-admin, wp-content, etc, the source code will still show my plugins.

You can hide some of it, but not all. What, specifically, are you trying to hide?

I don’t care if people find out that I’m running WordPress because I’ve heard that no matter what you do, if someone is determined enough, they can find out. I would specifically like to hide the wp-content and the plugins that I am using. I’m a beginner and have no idea how to do any of this so I really appreciate all of your help.
Thanks in advance for all of the help and advice ??

    Hide what, exactly?

You mean make it so when I view source, I can’t see the urls that say ‘wp-content/theme/twentyeleven/style.css’? No, you can’t do that without breaking your site.

There’s no reason to do it, anyway. Security by obscurity wastes your time and doesn’t protect you.

    how about the plugins ?

Same deal. If your plugin references something it that directory (javascript, CSS, anything) then you see that plugin directory URL.

As said, trying to hide that information (security by obscurity) isn’t productive and really just wastes your time.
