Can I have an addon domain and subdomain at save level under public_html?

    Need your help.

    Can I have this:

    1. public_html/ (this would be the main domain. Call it Apples)

    2. public_html/ corn (an addon domain)

    3 public_html/ pears (a subdomain of Apples)

    Would WordPress know that the addon corn is not a a subdomain?

    Would WordPress know that pears is indeed a subdomain of Apples?

    Again, what I am trying to determine is if a subdomain and addon can be at the same Hierarchical level.

    Appreciate any help.
