Can I have 2 different blogs on the same site?

The site is for an author who needs to have a blog that she writes, and we would like to have the main character in her book also blog on the same site. Is it just a matter of calling the character’s blog page blog-2 ???
please let me know if you need access to this site as right now I have it in maintenance mode.
