Can I get rid of the arrow and pause button

Uncheck Play/Pause in the Widget sections of options.

Also your widget options may not be saved. Try https://github.com/michael-cannon/testimonials-widget/archive/2.18.3RC2.zip.

It was the uncheck solution ?? how obvious was that! Sometimes you really can’t see for looking.
