Can I get it to stop saying "hi" after it already said hi?

Hello, I think it’s a fun plugin. But I would like the plugin to reckgonize when the same person is visiting again after reading an article. It keeps saying” hi” even though it just said {“hi” when I was on the last page, please advise.
