    I have a sweet title image I want to put on top of the tiled image at a different rez. is this possible? also how does one use an image as a border around a tiled bckgrnd? Please advise.

    You can’t actually use an image as a border, so the only option is to have the border image a few pixels wider and higher than your image and place as a background-image underneath the top image.

    so could you point me in the direction of an image floating tutorial? I guess I should have appended the question “how?” to the first question.

    I don’t know of any particular tutorial (though I suppose you could just Google on “CSS float images”) as I tend to find that each design poses it’s own issues, so generic examples never really work.

    https://w3schools.com/css is probably the best place if you’re just starting to work with CSS.

    https://www.alistapart.com is more useful if you’re looking for advanced, cutting-edge, stuff.
