Can I expand the “Advanced” tab in Gutenberg blocks by default?

  • I need to modify the “Advanced” block settings extremely frequently to add additional classes and modify HTML anchors.

    The “Advanced” section is always collapsed. It even re-closes when you click off of a block for a moment and back on to it. So, I am constantly clicking the accordion to re-open the settings.

    Is there any way (any code) to keep the advanced settings opened all the time?

  • Yes You Can expand the Advanced tab in Gutenberg blocks by default. Use Ultimate Addons for Gutenberg plugin for more advanced features in Gutenberg block editor. i also tried for my website : Dohfw Bihar

    I have reviewed the plugin you recommended, but I do not see how it can solve my problem. The plugin seems to just add several new Gutenberg blocks that I do not need.

    I want to expand the “Advanced” settings box by default on all core Gutenberg blocks. I would prefer to not use a plugin for it. However, if a plugin can do it, that implies that I could do it by adding code to functions.php – which I would prefer.

    I’d like to be able to do this as well, but there’s been no response back. So – I’ll either add my vote for it for bring it back into view. BTW – I have the Ultimate Addons and don’t see it either.

    @whichgodsaves @watcherjoshua I’ve been bugged by this too, so I made a little fix which always keeps the Advanced section open anytime you mouse into the editor sidebar.
