Hi, i really like this plugin.

But i was wondering it is possible to expand and collapse elements with thubmnails of posts inside a grid/masonry layouts?

I used this isotope plugin (Wanna Isotope) to display a list of custom posts of my web site. But instead of open every custom post in another page, i wanna use your plugin to target every thubmnail inside the grid with a special element, a youtube video.

This is the demo page of the plugin that i using. I wonder it is possible add a element to expand and collapse, to every thumbnail inside this grid.

    Sorry for the bad english.

My goal is something like this:

Yes, but first you would need to fully understand the roll-your-own method and how to separate the triggers from the targets.

Then, check out this example of how to use inline thumbnails as triggers.

What you are trying to accomplish is a bit advanced. However, if you would like us to set up a demo on your site, consider upgrading to Collapse-Pro-Matic.

Hi, the example works very good!!

I can achieve my objective adding two div sections, one for the trigger element, the thumbnail of my grid, and other div for the target element (a Twitter List).

The Twitter Feed din’t showed properly, like in the collapse element i made in a post with the shortcode you provided in the web site of the plugin, but i think studying better the code, i will achieve.

This is the link of my site:

    Politikron.com

I wanna every element of the grid open a different feed List of Twitter, as in the blue block below.

But well, my real problem is that i made this with the ‘Inspect’ tool of Google Chrome, in HTML, because i dont know how to add this to the PHP file of my template. (i don’t know nothing of PHP)

I know you can′t offer me support in that, but i wonder if is possible you can send me a link or any other reference with some explanation to achieve this.

BTW, we can mark this topic as a resolved then, because my initial question was solved. Thanks for that!

Glad you got it figured out.

To make changes to your theme’s template files is beyond the scope of our free support here on WordPress. But here is a tip: Before you do anything custom to your theme’s files, be smart and set up a child-theme. There are many step-by-step tutorials out there on how to do that.

Once you set up a child theme, then you just need to find the php files that control that view. I think if you take a look at that file, you will see some php, but quite a lot of HTML/CSS like you see in the Inspector.

If you would like us to help walk you through it, we would be happy to do this as part of our premium support offered with Collapse-Pro-Matic. If this is out of your budget, then google and the WordPress Codex will be your friend.

    All the best to you!
    Issue marked as resolved.
