• I have a multisite setup with several blogs, and I have an RSS feed from those blogs feeding content on a website.

I’m creating a new blog, the content of which does not really go well with the others, and I’d like to keep that one out of the main RSS. Is this possible? Or, to put it another way, I have blogs 1,2,3,4 and 5, and I want the RSS feed to only include posts from 1,2,3 and 5.

I know I can exclude categories and posts from the RSS feed, can I exclude sites? I tried appending ?id=-XX to the feed URL (where XX was the id # of the blog) but no luck. Any suggestions?

That entirely depends on HOW your RSS feed is created.

Also keep in mind, if you’re using the RSS to display on a site on the network, you’ll eventually crash your site. That is, if you have 6 sites on the network, and one site shows ALL the RSS for all the other sites, you’ll end badly.

As far as I know, the default RSS feeds are being used.

The RSS is not being displayed on one of the WP sites. I use WP for the blogs on my news site but the news site itself is not in WP. I use the RSS feed to display the last 6 posts from the blogs on the separate news site.

Well there is no ‘master’ RSS feed of all your sites on a Multisite, so you actually DID create it somehow ??
