Can I edit the language .po-file?

Hi! I’ve uploaded my language .mo-files to my blog directory and it works fine. However, the .po-file contains some pretty weird translations and I would like to know if it’s possible to edit the .po-file and use the edited version instead of the standard one? Since I haven’t uploaded the .po-file anywhere I can’t just make the changes there.

Otherwise I just love the 2.0 version, it rocks! ??
