Can I do this with query_posts?

  • Hi… I am trying to pass the following string into query_posts – category_name=new-releases&post_date>2005-03-18 18:14:50&post_date<2005-05-03 19:14:50.

    I have two entries in new-releases, one future dated, yet that one is not retrieved by the query_posts function.

    Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. All I am trying to do is get all posts within a category posted between 2 dates (one will be in the future).

    I thought I would ask the question a different way – I would like a routine/plugin/hack to let me pass a future date, past date, and list of categories, to retrieve all posts in that selection. Has anyone done this before? Can someone let me know the best way of doing this? I think the current Loop is restricted by the current date, so I am guessing that a new function needs to be written.

    Can the gurus and demi-gods of WordPress show me the way please?
